Filebolt’s users have spoken, and we have listened. As part of our mission to help people protect their digital property online, we want to make Filebolt as easy to use as possible. We reached out to our users, and they suggested we take advantage of the touch ID functionality present on the latest iOS and Android handsets.

We understand that although important from a security aspect, it can be tedious constantly typing passwords into login screens. Biometrics are a great way to secure information, and touch ID technology is both widely available and relatively advanced. People already know how to use touch ID, so it’s a no-brainer in terms of usability improvement.

In practice, the new touch ID functionality will unlock the app and open the area or folder where your bolted files are stored. In an effort to roll out new features as quickly as possible, the new feature was developed and deployed within 3 weeks. Our development team wants new features to reach our customers as quickly as possible. The team is currently working on optimizing touch ID access further.

We will keep you updated about new features as they enter our development pipeline. In the meantime, you can help us improve Filebolt by joining our community on Facebook and giving us feedback on how we can improve.

Have a great Juhannus! (Midsummer)
